MCHome dropped connection and remains offline

This morning, in the middle of working, MYCloud Home dropped its WIFI connection although it remained active. No device in the house could reach it. I tried to reboot from desktop and phone but had to do a cold reboot from the power. Did cold reboots 3 times and it remains offline.
(before rebooting I blew out the device even though it is not overheating.)
I moved it from the gateway to a laptop, hard wiring it from the NAS directly to a port on the laptop but it remains offline and unreachable.

I then hardwired it to my PC and it is still offline. It is lit up and it sounds as if the head is searching for something but it remains unreachable.

Anyone got any ideas?
