Mapping mybook

i have read and tried to do this  and when I do I am asked fpr a username and password. I am trying to enter a share that I created. mybooklive\mysharename. I am entering the password I created for that share.

I seem to be misunderstanding this sentence… If you are using Windows XP with a _ My Book Live _ and your drives login information is different from your Windows User, click on the Connect using a different user name  link and enter the user name and password you created on the network drive. Click  OK  to close the  Connect As…  dialog.

my drives log in information? not sure which one that is… where do i change or lookip the drives log in information.

you will enter name and password if it is requested when you are mapping the drive

try this

\mybooklive you will see all the shares… right click on the one you are trying to map

if is required it will prompt for the user name and password for that share
