Private Share Access Revisited

I just installed a Mybook live and can’t access the private share I created.

If i try mapping a drive using Windows Explorer, I can see the share, but it won’t let me log in.  After I try entering my username and pasword, it comes back with my ComputerName/Userename and asks for the password again, but still doesn’t work.

If I try mapping using the WD icon in the system tray, I get similar results.  (At first, this didn’t even show my private share, but now lists it).  I’ve confirmed that I’ve entered the username and password correctly, and even tried updating it via the dashboard to be sure.

I searched this  board, and there is a discussion of  changing the settings for “auto login to network share” in the dashboard, but I can’t find that option.

Any suggestions?

Just to provide a little more info, the “Map [Mybook Live]”  feature from the WD (smartware?) icon in the system tray is once again only letting me try to map to \MyBook\Live\Public and will not let me browse to any other share.
