My Mac just updated to Tahoe 26.6.2. I’ve been backing up to my EX4100 for quite some time, but now Time Machine doesn’t see the disk. I can see the WDMYCLOUDEX4100.local and can see the TimeMachineNAS and its contents in Finder. But Time Machine itself just says “Try backing up when ‘WDMyCloundEX4100.local’ is available.”
Has anyone else seen this?

I wonder if WD will have an update that makes this work with default settings.
Interesting that I haven’t seen this before. I’ve been on 26 for quite a while, and this only showed up when I went to 26.62.2.
Windows 11 had (has) the same issue. My EX4 worked fine until I updated to Win11 24h2. I had to make similar changes to the policy to disable SMB signing and enable SMB 1 (mostly for my older ReadyNas).
Make sure you’re on the latest firmware for it.
