I bought my 2TB MBL yesterday and set up via quick install…

Just trying to copy my photos across (15gb) to ‘Shared Pictures’ but it comes up with a message saying “can’t copy - files too deep”

In the same I’m trying to move my 30gb Itunes library across to ‘Shared Music’ and it says the same sort of message - have read about copying the entire Itunes library but the same happen that doesn’t work either.

Went on the WD2Go app this morning and I am able to upload photos from my iPhone ?.

Not sure what to do? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, if you are trying to upload the pictures through the WD2go website, try mapping the My Book locally. Check the link below for the steps to map the MBL public folder.

This sounds like your photos are in multiple sub-folders and sub-sub-folders (deep). Windows has a limit of how many characters can be in a “path” (C:\Users\My Documents…).

Try copying some of your pictures into a higher up folder, then try the copy.
