Led blinking but drive is not mounted

Hello,

I have WD Element 1.5TB drive S/N [deleted].  When I connect to computer USB the light is blinking.  I can hear the drive spins up then clicks a few times then the drive spins down.  I need to save 1 year worth of the kids pictures.

What OS are you using?

Make sure that you have the latest updates installed on your computer and confirm that you have the latest USB drivers on your computer.

WD Elements are plug and play drives that should be recognize by your computer automatically.

Also check in the disk management to see if the drive is showing.

Hi,

It was working last week and there was no change to the computer.

The drive does not show in disk management or hardware properties.
