Latest update seems to have ruined my system

I have a WDTV Live and had the perfect little set up - it happily played my movies and tv shows, personal vids, music and pics - which is exactly what i bought it for.

I installed the latest firmware update 2 nights ago as it requested and now none of my media will play?!  I’m having trouble sharing files - will only play those that were previously shared, it says any new files are in the wrong format - yet they were fine before - and  it now freezes every time i try to access the external hard drive (and yes, I’ve checked - the hard drive is fine). 

Is there any way to uninstall an update as it’s completely ruined my system and I can’t play a thing!!  I have no other TV, so rely on this.

Download the rollback firmware from the above WD link and follow the instructions.

Same problem here. My player now has a 3 to 5 minute delay when I select any MKV file before it will start playing. Need to roll back to previous version. You guys apparently didn’t test this firmware out very well before releasing it. Very disappointed. Never had a problem with any previous firmware updates.

Not necessarily. He probably just did like suggested: doing a reset before and after updating the firmware. That way, the update process always worked.
