_LAST attached to file extensions

I have 2 WD Hard Drives where I archive and backup. Both drives have copied all of my .jpg and .mov files and attached _LAST to the original file and on the copied file have added a series of numeric characters to the extension. Both files show a storage of either “0” or “1”. I cannot access and view any of these files. Correcting the extension does not help as the files appear to be empty. What has happened?

Hi hwmac,

Where are you locating these files in your drive?

You can open and check “Volume” folder that is recognized by the backup software as a complete backup location. You can have a look on below article to view backed up files using WD backup.
