Kdd process

Noticed some strange behavior from the kdd process. The first thing that caught my attention was the meaningless name. It’s suspicious from the the get go. When I analyze the stack I see a lot of “unkown binaries” running.

I dont want unknown binaries running on my computer. I dont have any issue witht the appliance itself, it does exactly what I expect. I just curious about this process. see attached photo here

kdd. I dont really know what it does. I’ve built network storage apps in the same language using similar approaches and they dont consume a fraction of the resources that process does. 500GB of virtual memory, hogs network bandwidth, and it only caught my attention because of how hard my PC’s fans were blowing.

If you took the one second it would have taken to view the photo i referred to, you’d also see its running unkown processes and, while that could be mac os’ fault, its fishy nonetheless.
