will this product allow computers in different locations ( meaning different towns) and a mix of MAC and windows work like say icloud. Thanks
Not quite out of the box like iCloud. Plus synching different computers remotely is not the cup of tea here. It will allow however remote computer to access files from external networks. For a more robust, small business solution, with out of the box seamless cloud synching, including with public clouds like OneDrive, Box, or drop Box, I would look elsewhere. For example, WD advertising talks about accessing these public clouds, but this is done from the mobile app, not from the NAs directly.
If you have a good sys admin, familiar with Linux, you can go beyond the WD apps, tweak the settings and things, but, boy, this product has not been encouraging this.
