I have a WD My Book Essential, and recently updated the WD SmartWare to version 2.0.0. Now I can’t tell if a backup is occuring. It is set up to do a continuous backup. Although the Backup tab says, “Ready to Perform Backup” there is no button to actually do the backup. I tried setting a schedule, but that didn’t seem to work either. Is there some way to see if this is actually functioning? Thank you!
In order to see if the backup is done go to the backup tab and check the data for backup and data backed up columns.
The numbers will match once the backup is completed.
