Interface is slow

What happened recently? After this last update my interface is extremely slow. I can barely manage users or shares now.

This worries me I have seen a few post about this. I am going RMA mine but worried that won’t help anything and it will just be a waste of time.

First, if the My Cloud is performing any sort of scanning then chances are the Dashboard interface will be slow. Second, if you haven’t tried it already try doing a 4 second reset via the reset button on the back of the unit or do a System Only restore via the Dashboard → Settings → Utilities page. Sometimes a reset/restore can fix certain weirdness with these My Cloud devices. Otherwise one just has to be patient if their My Cloud is scanning to finish. Depending on how much content is on the My Cloud, scanning could take a considerable amount of time (many hours).

Note: After performing a reset/restore one may have to reconfigure certain settings on the Dashboard like folder permissions or user permissions.
