I wonder why the transfer rates are faster with ftp program and not through my local network (the normal way)? Never the less ftp is faster, it’s giving me only 8,5MB/s transfer rate! Why!? Shouldn’t it be more than 20 like it’s been advertised?
I would appreciate for an answer! or if yo need more specs, please feel free to ask me.
The topic has been done death. In the simplest terms, the ShareSpace hardware is incapable of sustained transfer speed that would do justice to a functional gigabit wired network. If you want better performance buy a Thecus N4200 or Qnap or almost any other NAS but the WDSS.
