It’s incredible that WD makes a security software available for use on the My Passport external HD but, in addition to the installation not being user-friendly at all, because it doesn’t show that the program has been installed, we are unable to view it, nor enter the password, let alone start it. to use it. And what’s worse, when you repeat the installation step it shows information that it is already installed!!!
WD’s web masters should do an internship at some companies to learn how to create user-friendly and intuitive software installation routines.

Check the system tray for the WD security software icon. If it’s not there, search for it on your computer. If you can’t find it, uninstall the software, restart your computer, and reinstall it as an administrator. Make sure your system is up to date. If you still have issues, contact WD support.
