Hi, I just bought a 2TB WD My Passport external HDD. I can’t install the software using the executable it came with. It’ll download and extract the software, but while installing, this screen pops up.
I saw some threads saying that accepting the data sharing prompt fixes it, but that didn’t work either. How do I fix this? Is there another way I can install it? Does WD have any installation links on their website? Thanks.

On windows 10 I’ve been able to install certain programs and drivers in safe mode when they won’t install normally. Also I had to uninstall WD drive utilities because it was causing a lot of issues with Windows 10 64bit that didn’t exist on Windows 7 64bit. Anyway, good luck.
