How to tell what gen my player is

Hi,

I had my player in storage for about a year after moving and finally ready to set it up again.  I went to look for newer firmware and saw that on the firmware download page, its says for ‘gen 3’; so was wondering if someone can let me know how I can tell what gen my player is.  is there a place to check?  thanks so much.

…the model number in the “About” screen?  or on the label… something like WDxxxxxxxx-xxxx

so with the model number, I would be able to tell what gen it is?

I’m looking at this page:   http://support.wdc.com/product/install.asp?wdc_lang=en&fid=wdsfWDTV_Live

so if mine is any of the 2 models listed there, it’s a gen 3?

sorry, i am at work and don’t have the player with me currently.
