dog ate the remote that came as new. No problem as downloaded app which worked fine. However, the media player started hanging, whilst reading from USB. Reset to factory settings to try and solve, but now can’t use the app to set up the media player - any ideas??
WD store sells WDTV remotes for current models. If they don’t have anymore, then check eBay for the model player you have. I got new ones cheap from eBay.
The Factory Reset resets all the Network Settings on the WDTV back to factory default
(changing the IP Address)
Have you gone in and configured it again ? (Setup > Network Settings)
That’s the most likely cause the Remote App is not working now (when it was working fine before)
