I am new to the WD cloud system and RAID. when I changed the RAID to 0 I lost the data then I changed back to the default setting. how can I retrieve my data. I tried to connect the HD to my PC to retrieve the data using Recuva but the software could not find the drive. HELP
p.s. I did not have any data stored in my cloud.

You should be through on what you are doing. else you need to ask here before you change the raid.
It is forset hardcoded instruction any changes in RAID will format the drive ie hard format. Not quicker one. Also these are formatted in Ex4. Which is hard for any 3rd Party softwares to be found.
If you have data copied on pre-configured drives then it might be encrypted setup and changing will erase all the data.
Hope you ask here before doing anything you are unsure.

So, did you have data stored, or not stored, on those drives? Your last line is confusing.
If you’ve switched from the default RAID 1 to RAID 0 to RAID 1, the system will have reformatted it twice, and overwrote crucial stuff like partition tables etc, which would complicate recovery. Furthermore, the EX2 uses the EXT4 filesystem format, which is unreadable on Windows and would not be seen by Recuva, a Windows app. You’ll need Linux tools like TestDisk, which might help you recover deleted partitions or data. If you’re not too familiar with Linux, then it’s best to seek professional help to recover your data. Meanwhile, do not do anymore formatting or writing of data on your drives or you’ll risk losing even more stuff.
