I need to get the files out of a MBL. Does anyone know if it possible to break open the case and connect to the disks via the SATA interface and access the files directly?
Is there a company that does this?
Hello, sorry to hear you cannot access your files, have you tried to call support to see if there are any troubleshooting steps you haven’t tried? The internal format of the My Book Live hard drive is Ext3, recognized natively on Linux computers, but note that opening the case will void the warranty. Try to contact support first for any advice before doing anything.
