The WD My Cloud App is for file access. While it allows you to manually upload/transfer pictures and movies from the Camera Roll, it does not support automatic backups on either Android or iOS.

If back up is not possible then how can we select and copy incremental pictures quickly for example is it possible to select all photos of certain period say a week?
Yes, but only from your computer at this time.

My iPhonw implementation of the MyCloup app seems to have “Auto Backup” as a feature; however the IPad does not. Is this the current state of play for the app? Any chance the IPad version will eventually auto backup photos?
Auto backup of Camera Roll works fine if target is a WD My Cloud NAS on the network. Since a MPW can be put on the home network, I wonder if the backup feature will work if the MPW is on the network, and therefore a “NAS” on the network.
Somebody should try this approach. (I don’t need to since I have a WD wired My Cloud NAS on home network as well as a MPW that can go on/off the network at my discretion.)
