I have 3 EX2 NAS Drives. I want to back of 2 of them to the larger single one. Is there a setup guide for this? I have tried to see them up but I never can complete the process. I have no idea what setting need to be on both drives for this to work.
My first hurdle is the message “Invalid Remote Backup Password. Try again.” When I click the browse button to select the destination folder.
Any Ideas?
Hi @Sniperstorm,
This may cause due to the following reason:
Remote Backups between My Cloud OS 3 and My Cloud OS 5 devices are not supported.
My Cloud OS 3 resync backup uses the blowfish-cbc cipher. This cipher is not supported in My Cloud OS 5.

Hello,
None of my devices run OS5. Do you have any other ideas?

Drag and drop copy might work
Requires full time involvement from a PC. . .make sure it is on a wired (i.e. fast) connection to your router.
Yea. I am using FTP now to back up. I was just trying to get the drive to do one of the things I paid for it to day and also not take up a pc doing the tasks.
Well. . .if you want to get into the Linux of it. . .using SSH. . . .there are Linux commands that can start a copy process; and rely on the MyCloud “brains” to do the copy.
I am not a linux guy. . .so I can’t give you real advice. . . but I have fooled with SSH enough to know it can be done
