How to attach two Passport drives?

Hi, I have a new Passport Ultra installed as a continuous backup with multiple versions using Smartware Pro. I want to delete the multiple files from my older (full) Passport and then use it to create an offsite “single version” copy that only gets updated once a month.

Please can you tell me the best approach? e.g.

Erase the old disk and install Smartware Pro (will my “ultra” licence cover this?).

or, can I delete all the files in the “stor” folder then install the older Smartware version on my laptop, alongside Smarware Pro, and use that to create/update the archive?

Smartware Pro will be able to handle both backups.

Since the drives will not be used simultaneously the software should be able to create backups for each drive.

Remember that the license is for the computer and once installed it will allow you to backup multiple drives on that computer.
