How Do You 'Lock' AND 'Eject' My Passport Drive from PC?

  1. I can ‘Unlock’ (and use) My Passport, but can’t ‘Lock’ it, unless I simply unplug from USB Port (which my PC does NOT like)? Any Solution??

  2. Generally, before ‘any brand’ of External Drives is ‘disconnected / unplugged’ from a USB Port, it needs - first - to be ‘Ejected’ (using Mouse ‘Right Click’ then selection of ‘Eject’ command). Attempting that process has no effect on ‘My Passport’ Drive? So how do you tell My Passport you’ve finished working and want to disconnect it?

There might be some background system application that is preventing your drive to eject,

You can shut down the computer and unplug the drive for safely ejecting it.
