How can I reset password on My Cloud Home hard drive?

The password I stored for my MyCloud Home hard drive does not work. I can only get on as a guest on the drive. (I can get to my files via my app and the website)

Is there anyway to reset my password on the hard drive??

Have you checked the User Manual?

You can check the Knowledge Base too.

Please refer to the KBA Knowledge Base (link is top left menu on this page).

Enter a local user name and password for the private share.
Click Add Access to grant local network access.

The login and password is different and unique from the Western Digital account and is only used for local network access.

Thank you! The manual was very helpful (RTM —needed a little reminder :roll_eyes:), as was the Knowledge Base. I’m all set up now
