Mybooklive was working fine so far. On the old network it had a static ip address of 192.168.1.106. Unfortunately I had to change the router I was using. Now the new router is ASUS-RT-N12D1. It has LAN ip address of 192.168.1.1 and my booklive is connected to this router through a cable. Mybooklive is now not visible on the network. I have another coumpter attached to the same router. When I ping 192.168.1.106 I get the following results. On the new router DHCP is enabled.
C:\Users\admin>ping 192.168.1.106

Any idea how to get Mybooklive on the this network again?
If you old router is working, hook up the MBL to it. Go to Dashboard and change the IP address on the MBL to Dynamic.
Then shutdown MBL. Then connect to new router. Power up MBL. It should work fine.
If your old router is dead, then you must reset your MBL to factory config. While powered on, hold the reset button in for 30 seconds (check the manual about this). The MBL will reboot and all configs will be factory settings. You will not lose data. The factory setting for IP is dynamic. You new router will then be able to connect to the MBL.
If your MBL is in dynamic mode and you still have the problem, then reboot MBL so that it can do intial communication with the router and get an IP address assigned to it.
If you want to use static IP addresses for the MBL, then instead of configuring it on teh Dashboard of the MBL, do it on the router IP reservation table. That way the MBL will never be ‘locked’ to a particular router - you can hook the MBL up to any router and it will work.
