HDD Red Pro 4TB Won't Read

My server reported an HD error. I connected the HD into my computer and did a diagnostic using WD Tools. The diagnostic got stuck at 90%. So I formatted the disk and I tried a scan for damage blocks, it got stuck right at the beginning.
It seems it can write but it cannot read. So the question is, can it be repaired or should I replace it?

Replace the disk as it is obviously borked

Given a server environment you might want to consider larger capacity disks

I can’t replace to a different HD at this time there is already a structure in place.

New NAS box could be deployed with 24TB disks that could clean up the mess quick
