I’m at my wits’ ends with that WDTV Live plus and ready to throw it out of the window. I just upgraded to the latest firmware, which is I believe 1.06.42. Now it won’t recognize the external USB hard drive it’s hooked up to (it had no problems recognizing it until now as long as I kept using the 1.05.xx firmware). It’s a 2 TB WD Elements (really, you’d expect that this sorry piece of c… would be at least able to recognize hardware from the same company…). I’m not sure what to do. I reset it to its default settings, I disconnected the drive and hooked it up to my computer for a thorough scan disk… nothing… I’d really appreciate if someone could help…
