GIT Installation After Latest Update

Hi All,

I am not able to install GIT on MyCloud EX2 Ultra after I have update the drive to latest firmware. I have followed the steps recommended in another thread but that doesn’t help at all.

Any recommendations please.

@Jonty.S,

That link is not very helpful, in that it just advises that is is not available on OS5. Would be nice if WD could provide an ETA of when it will be available since it was around in OS3 and there is no reason why it should not continue to be available ?

Have you tried installing the Entware packages from Service End for Bintray, JCenter, GoCenter, and ChartCenter | JFrog as yet ? There is support for Git within Entware once you get it installed.

Hi JediNite,
Thank you very much for you valuable feedback. It had worked smoothly. I had to install the Entware from the WD web interface, thenI have accessed it via SSH, then I can run opkg install commands.
