G-Raid Thunderbolt 3 USB 3.1 input not working

Hi,

My G-Raid Thunderbolt 3 is plugged in to my Gigabyte Z270X-Gaming 7 board via the Thunderbolt 3 port and the drive is seen and operates fine. If I plug in a UCB 3.1C flash drive in the G-Raid port, it is not recognized. What do I need to check to ensure everything is set up right?

thanks…this is under Windows 10 btw

The port isn’t a HUB. You can’t plug a USB drive into the back of the drive and expect it to work. You will need to attach your flash drives to your computer. The USB ports on the drive are meant as connecting interfaces to the computer. In the event you don’t have TB3 you would use USB3 instead.

Wait what? Your product has A USB port that can’t be used? It’s not a hub and it doesn’t support a USB device so what exactly is it for?

It is used to plug into the computer to connect the drive, its not meant for attaching OTHER USB devices to it.
