G- Drive to USB- how backward compatible?

Hi,

I cannot seem to get this drive working with my old laptop that has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 and 1 USB2.0 ports. I have used the TB3 cable and have tried various USB A adaptors to connect to my laptop. The G- Drive comes on and spins and there is the Windows new device inserted sound but the drive is not recognised. Attaching the TB3 cable to a new laptop, works and the drive is recognised.

I have requested to return this drive in a few days time if I cannot find a solution.

Thank you

Should work as i tried usb cables and usb-c sata but my m.2 usb box is usb-c only
