Full factory restore question

I have the 2TB my cloud drive and I am in the process of doing a full factory restore. My question is: I started the restore 3 days ago and it is still going. My screen say “factory restore in progress” It also show a 24 hour clock. I have noticed the clock counts from 00:01 to 24:59 and then the countdown starts again? Is this normal and how long does the full factory restore take. I just want to make sure I am not caught up in an endless loop.

The issue was resolved it turns out the drive is defective and it being exchanged.
