Hi, i bought the MCH about a year ago and it worked great. 6 months ago, a weird thing happened and the server downgraded its firmware from 8.11.0-113 to 8.10.2-100. since then I cant update the firmware and its stuck. I have tried everything: rebooting and waiting a week, searching the ota log in the debug (but it was missing).
the last time it tried to update, it run into some problems i dont understand, and he tried to update 5 times but failed, then it stopped running the updating service for almost half a year.
If you have any idea what would be the problem please respond!
Im attaching the latest log i pulled and the last otalog from 11/30/2022

Hi @Tomerkidron1 ,
If the firmware does not update, connect the My Cloud Home to a different network.

This appears to be the infamous READ FPDMA QUEUED and WRITE errors from the My Cloud Home shingled magnetic recording (SMR) HDD. Backup data and then reset (wipe with 60 seconds reset) may help.

If HDD data can’t be backup and data recovery is needed, try this suggestion if you are able:
Don’t want to give you any false hope here and I am no expert in data recovery from hard drives, but some reading of the subject suggested that this is due to the SATA cable (no such cable in the MCH) or SATA controller on the mainboard - which means if you shuck the MCH HDD and plug it into a PC SATA port where the PC can also boot from a USB-Linux recovery flash drive, you may be able to get a lot of data back. A proper SATA port is much better and faster than a USB-SATA adapter that you can…
