File transfer error

Hi all I am having major issues retrieving a file from mycloud. I was using it to save a cloned image of my hard disk using easeus todo backup. Now when I try copying it back to my laptop the transfer fails every time around 4gb (error 0x8007003b). It is a large file of approx 105gb.

I then bought a 128gb usb flash stick and formatted it to ntfs and plugged it in the back of the wdcloud and using mycloud online tried to copy it from mycloud file to the attached usb storage ( to avoid anything coming through the pc) and surprise surprise it stopped copying to the usb at 4.1gb.

This is driving nuts and I’d really appreciate if anyone has any ideas how to cure this?

Have you read the User Manual for your generation of My Cloud? It will tell you what you’re able to do once you connect a USB device to the back of the My Cloud. You can also find how to transfer a large amount of data. See Chapter 12 and Appendix C.

One option is to use SSH and issue a copy or rsync command to copy the file/data from the My Cloud to a USB drive connected to the My Cloud USB port. That will force the My Cloud to copy the data from within the My Cloud OS.
