Ex2 Ultra Wiped and reset

Hi everyone,

Has anyone else here had their EX2 Ultra wiped and reset (same as the My Book Live and Live Duo)?

Mine was empty and I was unable to login on the same day that everyone else had the issue. I cloned the drive and have been waiting for someone to figure out conclusively how to recover the data. It appears that WD are only offering to help victims owning the older devices.

I’m afraid to reconnect it to the network to see if I can recover anything. There are a number of threads around about how to recover using a linux box and some software, but I’m not sure if this would also work with the EX2 Ultra.

What are your thoughts?

Connect the EX2 Ultra to the Ethernet Cable on your computer, access the dashboard, collect the system logs and sent to support.
