EX2 Ultra Red Power Led and no network

Hello, I bought two WD my cloud EX2 Ultra, one with 8TB and one with 12TB, I sent the 8TB back in the meantime. With the second I have the same problem as with the other one:
the NAS starts and after a while the Power LED starts to glow red. I can’t find the hard drive on the network. I connected the NAS directly to the computer and tried “arp -a” in the command prompt. Unfortunately, the MAC address was not listed.
Does anyone have any ideas what else I can do? I don’t know what firmware is on it.

Thank you Benno

Hi @Ben87,

Please refer to the article How To Obtain The IP Address of a WD Networked Device:

Hello Keerti _01,
many thanks for your response.

I checked the router’s DHCP table and searched for it with the Net Scan app. I have it connected to the Pc with and without a switch in between and ran arp -a in the command prompt. Nothing. The LEDs on the back of the network connector light up and flash.
I also tried the 4 sec and 40 sec reset and swapped the network cable.
Maybe it matters, I bought it from Amazon Warehousedeals. It would be a shame to send it back.

Greetings Benno
