ED Warranty **bleep**!

Please DO save your WD purchase receipt otherwise no warrantly will be granted even if you had registered your product.

One of the WD rep keep asking me for proof of purchase even my product was registered on the WD portal successfully.

Oh! the worst, seems like you need to take out all the drives inside of hte unit and register each sperately too.  The warranty of the drive(s) might not be the same as your EXx unit…

I purchased my EX2 probaby 9 to 10 months ago, I registered the EX2 successfully right after setting up the unit. One of hte drive was crashed and needed to be replaced.  WD rep, [Deleted], was handling this case, he said your drive has shown “Limited Warranty” on our record.

What? how can it be??? you purchase the EX2 with the 2 drives inside and the warranty were different!!!

Speechlesss! this was clearly WD’s manufacture issue… Sigh!

Hello and welcome tot he WD community.

Normally the warranty on the internal drives is the same as the enclosure. So the warranty should be the same.
