Drive keeps disconnecting an reconnecting

Using Win 10 OS. My Passport USB 4TB drive seems to be continually disconnecting and reconnecting. Each time it makes the same sound as it does when connecting it for the first time and the pop up window appear asking what I want to do with it. As my choice is always to Open File Explorer to view file & Folders I changed
the Autostart option to do just that instead of asking me every time. It is still disconnecting and reconnecting but now opens a second and third etc. File Explorer. I downloaded and ran the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics and it passed OK.

I run a backup daily to the drive using Win 10 and that appears to be working fine so it does not seem to be a major issue but it is a very annoying problem.

Any solutions to this?

You can try to use the drive with different computers. Looks like it is the problem with the cable. Please try to change the USB 3.0 cable then use the WD drive with your computer.
