DLNA - External Subtitle

Can’t test it right now, but does the My Cloud support External subtitles (srt,sub,ssa) while streaming?

A friend of mine says only AVI and MP4 files work, but MKV is not working, and this is pretty funny, because 99% of the files are MKV. And without that function the media server thing is pretty much good-for-nothing.

Can anyone test it, or confirm that WD MY Cloud does not support external subtitles?
