Why the software “WD My Cloud Desktop for Windows” and the “WD App” on Microsoft Store are still available to download and install, if they don’t work?
The “WD My Cloud Desktop for Windows” you can download it at WD Support > Software & Downloads > WD My Cloud Desktop for Windows
The “WD App” from Microsoft Store you can download it at Microsoft Store > Apps > WD
Both, software and app are suggested as functional on the proper developers web sites.
If I find some interesting WD software/app at “WD Support” or another legit web site, I suppose they will work as described. If WD discontinue some software/app because they stop working for various reasons, the same software/app should be removed for download.
