It’s still going at an hour and a half plus. The estimated time says 5 minutes. Should I cancel and try again?
I’m running it on a My Passport Essential SE 750GB connected to a Lenovo ThinkPad t400 running Windows 7.

Yes, I’d recommend cancelling the test and trying again with WD SmartWare instead as it was designed for this particular hard drive model. The test can be performed under Settings > Drive Settings/Setup Drive > Diagnostics.
