You are obviously using the Mobile app. When this uploads photos, it doesn’t maintain the file timestamp.
Rubbish, isn’t it?
You’d have to look for a tool to extract the timestamp embedded in the image, and correct the file timestamp.
Or use a tool to replace the creation date with the modification date.
I keep meaning to write a script to do this for Android images, which, fortunately, have the timestamp in the filename.
Where are you seeing this? More information would help.
Yes, I use also the Mobile App. I will explain what I did. I have 40 gb of photos on Google Photos and I wanted to import them to MyCloud using their services (a.k.a Google Photo / Drive sync). As I saw - this sync ■■■■■. And what’s more wild - after synchronization, the photos from Google Photo were removed. They just dissapeared.
I will try to find/write a script in order to modify the creation date to be equal with modification date.
Everywhere. Mobile, web, desktop.
wd sync is just terrible software. I do not know what else to say.
I would instead just mount the share and copy/paste from the google drive to the mycloud-- or, failing that, use rsync to do it (since I use linux).
