Connect via USB for data transfer

Hi.

Before deciding whether to buy or not to buy WD MyCloud, I wondered if there’s any option to connect it to a PC or a Mac and use it like an external HDD for faster data transferring?

If not, is it something the WD plans on adding in the future?

What I want is the features of the MyCloud NAS with the convenience that comes from the fast and easy file transfer that external HDDs offer.

Is something like this on the roadmap for MyCloud anytime soon?

I’ve never seen that capability on ANY NAS, so I wouldn’t expect it…
