What are you attempting to connect using USB to the TV? The My Cloud? The My Cloud does not support being connected to a TV or computer using the My Cloud USB port. The My Cloud is not a USB hard drive, it is a network attached storage device. The USB port on the My Cloud is for attaching a external USB hard drive to expand the My Cloud storage or to use as a My Cloud Dashboard Safepoint / Backup target to backup the contents of the My Cloud.

To access the My Cloud you will need to have the smart TV connected to the same local network as the My Cloud.

Yes I have it already connected, this is because I can play MKV and see every files but with AVI files the tv say toy me that is unavailable to reproduce this format by network that I have to connect directly to the auSB port, I try and I discovered as you said this port is not available for this matters, so I have the same problem I cannot see AVIs, only MKV this is unbelievable and because I asked for if someone has a solution to fix this problem

Try reencoding one AVI file using a different codec. Could be the Samsung TV’s media player cannot play the codec that was used to encode the AVI file. Generally AVI is what is called a “container” file. One use various codecs to encode AVI files and not all codecs are supported by all DLNA media client players (like the one on smart TV’s).

See the Samsung support website for your model to see if there is any further suggestions on how to encode AVI files so they will play. For example there the following Samsung document that indicates using the following codec; “H.264 BP/ MP/ HP” for AVI container files on 2016 Samsung smart TV’s.

If one connects an external USB hard drive to the My Cloud and that external drive has media on it, one would need to access the My Cloud Dashboard and check that Media Serving is enabled on that “Share” so the My Cloud Media Server will properly scan that external drive for media files and include them to DLNA media player clients like Smart TV’s.
