Cloud Access Failed

After to connect cloud account admin. I get the follow error.

“Something went wrong, please check that you have an active Internet connection and try again.
(error code: 1002)”

So no cloud access… Very frustrated…

Generally the first troubleshooting step when having remote access issues to a My Cloud (not My Cloud Home) device is to access the My Cloud Dashboard and check the My Cloud’s Internet Connection status. From the My Cloud Dashboard one can disable/enable Cloud Access connection option to reset the Cloud Access connection.

Note: If one has an OS3 v4.x or v2.x firmware My Cloud, WD has ended Cloud Access/Remote Access support for those OS3 My Cloud devices.

Are you trying to connect to Did you check the status?

What does your dashboard show? Are you signed in or not signed in? See example image below.

And by is everything green

What is showing under Settings>Network? See example image below. Click on, tap, or activate image to enlarge it.

So turn the Cloud Service OFF, wait a few minutes, then turn it back ON and wait to see if the Connection Status indicates Connected. And one would also have to sign their account in via the Sign In button as well.
