Changing out with 2 new drives in MyCloudEX2 Ultra - Need Guidance

I am in the process of replacing the two existing drives in my MyCloudEX2Ultra with new WD Red Plus hard drives. While the current drives are functioning properly, they are three years old and out of warranty.

I would like to inquire about the procedure for replacing these drives. Specifically, I am interested in whether it is possible to swap out one drive at a time, allowing the data to be copied over from the existing drive, and then replace the second drive following the same process.

The current drives are configured as mirrored copies, and all data is backed up online. I am seeking confirmation on whether this process is straightforward and any detailed steps or considerations involved.

I have searched for guidance on this topic but have not found specific information. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

a USB backup and restore may be faster than 2 raid rebuilds and
always good to have that backup

and I place an extra fan on top when doing a raid rebuild as the drives do heat up
