I have a mycloud ex2 ultra with a 3tb and 4tb drive running as one volume with JBOD. I have about 6TB filled and I realise I need to upgrade. Instead of grabbing a new server, I was thinking of just upgrading the space in here with 2 8TB CMR hard drives. This sounds all well and good, except for the fact I need to do data transfer! I was wondering exactly how to do that?
Will I be able to pop one drive out, pop in an 8tb drive and format that drive and transfer the data, and add the second drive to pool with the new one?
