during the recent past (last 1,5 year) I’ve made a change from old email address to new email address.
Now it’s no longer possible to reach to the NAS (WD EX2 Uktra) via web or by app, because the verification mail is sent to the old email address which I cannot reach any more,
The issue is happening because your WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra is still tied to your old email address, which you can’t access anymore, so all verification requests are going there. This blocks web and app access, but your data on the NAS should still be fine. You can access it locally using the NAS IP address or through your network. The fix is to do a quick 4-second reset, which clears the admin and network settings without touching your data. After that, log in locally, set up a new account with your current email, and enable remote access again.
