Can't turn on WebDAV on EX4

Hi,

i meet the problem with turning on WebDAV on my EX4. Configuration:

• firmware 1.05.30

• 4 HD 6T in RAID5 (total space 18T, used 10T)

• Active Directory

• SMB2

• FTP, AFP, WebDAV set to ON

• static IP, two link configured as 802.3ad

• no apps, no WD Cloud, no multimedia

Device is used as NAS in LAN with Windows Server 2008 R2 with AD. Clients are Macs and PCs.

The problem appears as following: Setting | Network | WebDAV Service is switched ON. When I switch ON WebDAV access at Shares it shows the ON status. But when I move to another page and back I see WebDAV access switched OFF. Nevertheless I tried to access EX4 via WebDAV - no way. Anybody knows what I should study? WD support is completely useless, they know only “turn off/on”, “plug out/in”, “reset to factory defaults”, “at our’s the same works good”.

It is possible for the OS of the unit to have an internal issue, which is best resolved by means of a factory-reset as recommended by WD Support. Hopefully an experienced User knows an alternative even though it is likely to require SSH.
