Can't find WDmycloud in my network

I bought my WD my Cloud the end of last year. Installed the device, used desktop app, quick view and mobile app, no problem. Then I haven’t used it for several months, it started to get all sort of problems. The light kept flashing for several weeks. I tried restarting the device and my modern router many times. Finally got the blue light back. However, the quick view cannot be opened any more, from neither of my both pc. Access from the desktop app and my phone is ok. But when I tried to map the device, it is not showing in my network. I have tried using WD Discovery, still can’t find it. It is so strange, isn’t it?

Can anyone suggest a solution? Access from the desktop app is so limited, very difficult to nevigate.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Community.

Are you at least able to access the device Dashboard in order to perform a firmware update or a factory reset?

Thanks Trancer. No I can’t do any setting in that interface except view files and copy/paste files. I can also disconnect that device but I am afraid to do it.

By the way, I think what I can access is the desktop app not the dashboard.

One accesses the Dashboard through their web browser. See the following WD Support link for more information on how to use a web browser to access the WD My Cloud Dashboard.
