Cant be read or written error code -36

Hello, I guess i am not alone. But i have a lot of errors with my wd ex2

I am using it connected to a apple extreme airport, allways connected over 5ghz, with the router being 2 meters from me…

It worked great in the beginning, connection was great, speed was great etc.

Then the transfer speed reduced to veeeery slow.

Now the speed is back, but i cannot transfer any files back to my mac, what i get when i try to do so is this.

The nas says it’s fine, and i can download HUGE files on there, but as soon as i try to transfer it back to my mac, i get these errors, on files as small as 100mb.

What the heck is wrong?

Also, i cant even connect a drive directly to the nas and move files with the ipad app, something i could do before?

Is my disk failing? It’s just 6 months

And yes. i have the latest firmware, i have the latest osx, a mbpr 15" with lot’s of power, i know computing etc.

So no “have you tried restarting it?” because as far as i am concerned, i have tried it all :confused:

Hello, do you have other computers that are experiencing the same issue?

You could connect an external drive to the EX 2 via the USB port and use the dashboard to move information from the EX 2 to the external drive.

I’ll try another computer,

I can connect usb drives to the nas, i can move small files, but most of the times i get the fail, generally 100mb files and bigger, this was no problem vefore.

I have not moved the nas, and i used to run it on a power schedule, so it slept for about 8 hours a day.
